Ham Radio-Breaking Hobby Stereotypes with KD2GTM!
Sara Tibbetts, an electrical engineering student at RIT and active ham radio operator, joins the podcast to discuss ham radio and today’s youth. As a student, she was intrigued by her fellow students’ interest in ham radio and decided to get her own license. She quickly became addicted to chasing DX, even from her apartment building. The discussion covers the challenges and opportunities for young people in the hobby, and how ham radio can benefit their education and future careers.
Continuing to work to break the mold; Sara now V-logs (video blogging) about her experiences as a New Ham. Her YouTube Channel can be found Here!
Sara also serves as VP with her School’s Radio Club K2GXT .

Thanks for posting. Good to see more people getting excited about the hobby. I am a former president of the RIT amateur radio club (mid 1990s) and good to see it in use.
